How do I use Ergophase

To use Ergophase:

  1. Plug the Garmin ANT+ USB stick into your Mac
  2. Wake up your ANT+ sensors - i.e. put on the HR belt, and spin the cranks of your bike a couple of items
  3. Click the 'Connect' button in the toolbar. After a few seconds, you'll see the displays turn yellow and start to show the data from the devices
  4. To play a video or display a graph, click the 'Start' button. Use the 'View Graph' and 'View Video' buttons to select what is displayed.

Each display field can show heart rate, power, speed or cadence together with average power and Phil Skiba's xPower, RI and BikeScore metrics (See Phil's site http://www.physfarm.com for more details of these).

The graph shows your data for the most recent 60 sec, 5 min, 20 min, 1 hour or 2 hour period. Auto scales. Click on the graph to show a different period. The graph shows the most recent data.

What Video formats can I play in Ergophase

Ergophase will play any movie format that's compatible with Apple's QuickTime technologies. You can play movies ripped from DVDs, if that's legal where you live - handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/) is the ideal application for that.
